Star Photonics® team is specialized in silicon photonics area with more than 10 years of experience. Star Photonics® is licensed to work at TAU Nano Center and is experienced to manufacture a prototype at standards higher than the academic level. Star Photonics® deals mainly with chip architecture comprising of optical devices (cm-to-nm range), micro-electronics devices, and electro-optical (integrated electronics with optics) devices.

Company expertise is in standard photolithography and Electron Beam Lithography (EBeam). Masks are designed by software such as CleWin© and Raith© editors. This allows the fabrication of optical elements at the nanoscale range and microelectronics of shallow junction architecture.

• Ring/Racetrack resonators, Fabry-Perot resonators, Photonic Crystal resonators,  Mach-Zehnder Interferometers, Y-couplers, Directional Couplers, Tapers, and other similar elements of the Integrated Optics family.

• PN/PIN diodes and MOS capacitors.

• Optical filters and sensors.

• Electro-optical modulators supporting RF operation (switching rate of 10GHz for regular 50Ω line).
